For most of the late 1980’s, Wayne Jennings worked in consumer lending and gained valuable insight in banking procedures and standards. He was responsible for implementing new technology (both hardware and software) and the associated training for each.

In the 1990’s, Jennings’ career centered on preparing upper tier individual and business tax returns. He also worked closely with business owners to generate company valuations. During his career as an accountant, he was engaged in technology consulting and remediated various technology and software issues for phone companies, hospitals, county governments and prisons with a proactive approach.

In 2000, Jennings became Human Resources Director for a manufacturing company. He worked closely with the owners and plant manager to determine labor needs using predictive techniques based on general economic indicators and internal/external industry data. During this time, he introduced a comprehensive company employee manual as well as a safety manual based on the most current OSHA standards. Jennings also wrote articles and advertising copy for industry publications and the company product catalog. 

In 2004, Jennings joined a non-profit whose vision focuses on budget and credit counseling. During the course of his tenure he was responsible for many areas including counseling on money management values and skills, education, licensure support, and continuous market research and recommendations.

In 2012 he became a founding partner in a firm which specializes in all aspects of the non-qualified benefits market, Innovative Compensation Strategies, Inc. Most recently, he helped to develop and bring a product into the marketplace specifically designed to greatly increase funding for nonprofits. Jennings has over 20 years of experience both working for, and sitting on the boards of, nonprofits and he is very excited about the positive impact he believes The Legacy Plan
